Roast Herbs

Description

Our Roast Herbs are a vivid medley of seasonal Mediterranean herbs, rich in flavour and aroma. They are chosen to enhance and harmonise the flavour profile of your favourite roast recipe.

Food

Roast Herbs are a versatile addition to the traditional roast. They can be rubbed into meat before cooking, stuffed into cavities, layered as a herb bed, or added to marinade, sauce, stuffing, or gravy.

Health Benefits

Roast Herbs aid the digestion of fatty meats and protein elements in the meal. They contain high levels of important anti-oxidants and micro-minerals that contribute to general health, stress resistance and longevity.

Storage

Punnet

Store in the fridge in the vegetable drawer in original punnet. Use within two days of opening.

Culture and History

The roast is a traditional English dish, where it was served on Sundays after church. It was usually beef, served with gravy, potatoes, mixed vegetables, and Yorkshire pudding. The English became so well known for their roast beef that the French nicknamed them 'les rosbifs', the 'roast beefs'; and the royal guard have been affectionately known as 'beefeaters' since the 15th century.
