Herb Gallery

Have a look at some of our images of fresh herbs we grow and our staff (both past and present) who harvest our herbs fresh for you each day. We're very proud of our wonderful hardworking team and the awesome job they do in growing, harvesting and packing fresh herbs for you, 6 days a week, year-round.

  • Thyme, one of the Mediterranean herbs we grow.
  • Salad Rocket, our most popular herb of our salad bag range. It's not as strong as wild rocket, with the leaves having a nice peanut flavour.
  • A Pansy flower, one of our Edible Flowers mix.
  • One of our volunteer workers, this ladybird is searching for aphids on a Cornflower plant.
  • Fennel, often confused with Dill. Fennel has an aniseed flavour with leaves closer together than Dill.
  • Chervil, a very delicate herb ideal as a garnish. It is also popular in Europe as a tasty soup.
  • Calendula flower. We use the petals in our 'Salad Daze' salad bags.
  • Violas, one of our 'Edible Flowers' range.
  • Our mint is an heirloom variety, sourced from an old abandoned cottage in Central Otago. It is rust-free mint, and has a particularly strong flavour and aroma in the summer. Ideal with potatoes or in a cool iced drink.
  • Eliott, harvesting Salad Greens.
  • Our Salad Greens, which make up some our Salad Daze bags. The predominant green leaf is Mizuna, the red leaf is Red Mizuna. Also poking it's head out in places is Rocket.
  • Our outdoor-grown Rosemary. In this image, it is just starting to flower, which happens in late spring each year.
  • Pania, picking calendulas, which we use as edible flowers in our Salad Daze bags.
  • Watercress is a wonderfully peppery herb beautiful as a salad base or to add some spice to a meal.
  • Our Basil, grown at a higher temperature in a separate greenhouse to all our other fresh herbs.
  • Melba, harvesting fresh Dill.
  • Rosemary, a herb that has important medicinal properties - it's great for enhancing your memory.
  • Edible Flowers, available from September to April each year
  • Our fantastic Mint, it is a special anti-rust variety, a disease that is common in most garden mint.
  • Vanessa, harvesting Rocket (Arugula) for our Racy Rocket bags. We love our Rocket, it's the salad variety which has tear-drop shaped leaves and is not as peppery or as tough as the outdoor wild rocket.
